I like the lightweight wicking material for hiking.
Wildflower hiking is a
very rewarding hobby / sport. It may not be an
aerobic activity, but strenuous exercise is not the point! Although I
must say, my quest to find the Chocolate Lily in Alaska turned out to
be a
real "heart thumper and lung buster!" It is very important to have
comfortable footwear, a blister can ruin a hike. I recommend waterproof
footwear, you never know when you may have to step in a creek or in mud
to see a special flower!
The new moisture-wicking, quick-drying clothing is great for keeping
dry and comfortable on a hot day. Cotton (jeans and T-shirts) are not
recommended, especially on cool spring days. If cotton clothing gets
wet it stays wet for a long time and feels very uncomfortable.
